Car attachments, such as parking sensors, are painted separately. However, during assembly the colour difference between the parking sensor and the bumper must be zero, which means that the colours must be identical. The colorSENSOR LT-2-DU sensor from Micro-Epsilon allows a direct colour comparison between the parking sensor and the rear bumper. The colorSENSOR LT-2-DU consists of two colour sensors. The integrated electronics perform a logical evaluation. They define the maximum difference between the two colours of the colour sensors or channels. For the customer, this means that no further evaluations are required. The sensor issues a NOK signal if the colours differ and an OK signal if the colours are identical. The same measurement system can be used for comparing colours of other attachments, e.g. the cover of the headlight washer nozzles vs. bumper, mirror vs. bodyshell, bodyshell vs. bumper.
