Sensors inspect the seam colour of car interior components
In the assembly line of a well-known German car manufacturer, car interior components with different seam colours have to be distinguished. Previously, these checks were performed manually - experts inspected the seams visually. Micro-Epsilon’s colorSENSOR LT-3-HE colour sensors are now used to automate this process and to make it more efficient. The high-performance colour sensors operate at a very high measurement resolution (∆E colour difference). The sensors are therefore able to distinguish between colours that look virtually the same to the human eye. Another advantage is that the measurement results are highly repeatable.
Beyond the car manufacturing industry, high performance colorSENSOR LT-3-HE colour sensors are ideal for recognising colour marks in the printing industry, packaging control or for sorting by colour tasks and for colour control of self-luminous objects.
